Daniel Tabin is a 5th year Ph.D. student in David Reich’s lab in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology. His research focuses on using ancient and modern DNA to answer questions about human history.  He was born in Vermont, but grew up in Utah.  Daniel completed a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Math and Master’s in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).  His masters research focused on modeling political polarization. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys hiking, playing (tabletop, and video) games, and exploring the Boston area. He also has a somewhat crippling addiction to YouTube. Daniel loves mentoring and has done so in some capacity since he was in high school. This year is his second year as a Tutor at Harvard, but his first as a residential Tutor.  He is eager to meet his VUS advisees, help plan events as a Hoco tutor, and to begin the semester!
